Ottawa Comiccon is just around the corner and of course, as always it’s crunch time for Ben as he gets out in the shop and tries to produce some new (and some favourites) pieces. Of course having two children running around the house screaming like banshees doesn’t help. The oldest wants to be just like dad so he’s always sneaking away the tools and the youngest is just learning to walk (or dance).
Meanwhile, I’ve been working behind the scenes to get the new business cards, and the website back up and running. It’s a task I’ve been putting off for a long time, primarily because gone are the days of HTML coding your own websites. Now I need to learn to use programs like WordPress that need to update to keep up, and technology changes quickly. So I’ve been dreading re-teaching myself how to use wordpress and putting it off. Even if it’s now ‘easier’ than ever to make something unique – there’s more time that goes into what used to be -pick a theme, update headers, logos, etc. and then start writing.
For those who haven’t been watching our instagram, Ben has picked up some new designs from an artist called Seviyummy on instagram. The designs are adorable and we can’t wait to show you all of them. Of course you’ve already seen Mew (on the homepage) and I’m now sharing Mimikyu but there are more to come. It’s crunch time and I can’t wait to see what Ben turns out.
